Under clear November skies, I last year joined the BOS Foundation’s Nyaru Menteng team and the Mawas Conservation Program to undertake a large-scale rescue mission in Kapuas, Central Kalimantan.

December 2007 marked an important milestone in orangutan conservation.
Thankfully the weather has improved over the past few weeks in East Kalimantan, and our team at the BOS Foundation Orangutan Reintroduction Center-Samboja Lestari was able to start reforestation of the area that was damaged by fire in September.
