Today, March 20 2014, eight orangutans finally departed from Samboja Lestari towards predesignated release points in the Kehje Sewen Forest.

Today, March 20 2014, eight orangutans finally departed from Samboja Lestari towards predesignated release points in the Kehje Sewen Forest.
In the near future, 10 more orangutans will be living in Kehje Sewen forest. They are from Orangutan Reintroduction Center at Samboja Lestari who will be reintroduced into the forest on March, 20 and 21 2014. Here are their profiles.

On May 21, 2013, a collaborative team from the BOS Foundation and Restorasi Habitat Orangutan Indonesia (RHOI) successfully completed a rescue and release operation in an oil palm plantation belonging to PT. Yudha Wahana Abadi (YWA).
Today was the last day of the 7th orangutan release event from the BOS Foundation Orangutan Reintroduction Program at Nyaru Menteng and the first cross-province orangutan release from Central Kalimantan Orangutan Reintroduction Program...
