SAMBOJA LESTARI 6th ORANGUTAN RELEASE CANDIDATE PROFILES
In commemoration of the International Orangutan Day on 19th August, BOS Foundation will release another 5 orangutans from Samboja Lestari to Kehje Sewen Forest, East Kalimantan.
We are working hard to protect the Bornean orangutan and its habitat for future generations. Here are some of the ways we've helped develop a world where orangutans and nature thrive.

In commemoration of the International Orangutan Day on 19th August, BOS Foundation will release another 20 orangutans from Nyaru Menteng to Bukit Batikap Conservation forest, Central Kalimantan.
Last Sunday, we focused our efforts on nest-to-nest observations of Yayang and her new baby. Yayang’s second birth was very special as this newborn is our first wild born orangutan in the Kehje Sewen forest.
Orangutan conservation effort does not stop at rehabilitaion. It only finishes after we ensure that these once stranded orphaned are back in the forest, where they belong.
The long-established relationship between BOSF Nyaru Menteng and Melbourne Zoo is still going strong, with continued collaboration on several initiatives.
