Forest School is a place where our young orangutans learn and study. As commonly found in human schools, some students are fast learners while others need a little more time.
We are working hard to protect the Bornean orangutan and its habitat for future generations. Here are some of the ways we've helped develop a world where orangutans and nature thrive.

This January the BOS Foundation and RHOI was fortunate enough to be able to yet again save another orangutan from being harmed and translocate him to a safe area of forest.
Reintroducing orangutans into the forest is not an easy task by any standard and requires detailed planning especially with regards to the specific release points in the forest.
Remember our story about Upi staring at something perching up high in a Meranti tree near Camp Lesik? At the time we had assumed that she was only looking around the camp area. It turns out that she was on to something much more interesting!
It was such a joy to see 5 special orangutans; Mona, Berlian, Hamzah, Leke and Upi, during our patrol last week.
