LET’S EDUCATE THE NEXT GENERATION

We partner with schools in Indonesia to teach the next generation about orangutans, our conservation work, and the accompanying challenges. We also now 'travel' virtually to classrooms across the globe using your videoconferencing platform of choice. Our sessions empower students by helping them to strengthen their voices and giving them the knowledge necessary to take action. We hope that your students leave the classroom feeling inspired to add their voice to the modern conservation effort. After all, it is their future that hangs in the balance.

With our #OrangutanGoesToSchool Program we want to inspire young people to care for Asia's only great ape and the natural world. Our orangutan education team provides:

• Informative presentations tailored to each level’s education needs
• Engaging ‘Question and Answer’ sessions
• Creative activities such as colouring, educational games, or short film screenings

Here is some more basic information about our education program:

• Visits made to Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Junior and Senior High School
• Areas of Work: Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), Bandung, Central and East Kalimantan
• The program is free but we encourage the students to become an Orangutan Lifesaver by donating IDR 20.000 or $2 per student, or to show their support for the orangutan conservation by purchasing our awesome merchandise, which we can bring to the school
• Program language in Indonesian and/or English
