Last Sunday, we focused our efforts on nest-to-nest observations of Yayang and her new baby. Yayang’s second birth was very special as this newborn is our first wild born orangutan in the Kehje Sewen forest.
Apart from focusing on nest to nest observations of Yayang and her new baby, the Post Release Monitoring (PRM) team is responsible for conducting regular patrlos and monitoring for the other orangutans we have reintroduced into the Kehje Sewen Forest
Rain was pouring down on Kehje Sewen Forest since dawn delaying our patrol teams scheduled to head for Lembu Transect that day.
Last week we updated you on a recent illness Meryl and some of her friends in baby group had suffered. Now, they are fighting fit and able to fully explore the playground in nursery group Forest School once again.
