UPDATE ON OUR REINTRODUCTION PROGRAMS: CHALLENGES IN FIELD
The success of the BOS Foundation’s orangutan reintroduction programs, which recommenced in February 2012, has been an amazing journey for all of us.
We are working hard to protect the Bornean orangutan and its habitat for future generations. Here are some of the ways we've helped develop a world where orangutans and nature thrive.

					Together with her son Kaban, Sukamara has started a new chapter of her life on one of our pre-release islands, Palas.
 
					Within our Orangutan Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Centers in Samboja Lestari and Nyaru Menteng, orangutan welfare is a top priority.
 
					Since his arrival in Nyaru Menteng, Sura’s health had been up and down. There were times when he caught a flu but now we are delighted to see that Sura’s health is getting better and better.
 
					The tiny baby orangutan was embraced tightly by his mother. He was still wet. His eyes were still tightly closed. He had just been born into this world a few minutes before.
