ONE MISSION: FREEDOM FOR ALL
The BOS Foundation has once again conducted back-to-back orangutan releases, one in Central Kalimantan and one in East Kalimantan.
We are working hard to protect the Bornean orangutan and its habitat for future generations. Here are some of the ways we've helped develop a world where orangutans and nature thrive.

The BOS Foundation has once again conducted back-to-back orangutan releases, one in Central Kalimantan and one in East Kalimantan.

The KLHK, the BKSDA of Central & East Kalimantan, and the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation will soon conduct the back to back orangutan release from rehabilitation centre to Bukit Batikap Protection Forest & Kehje Sewen Forest.

An orangutan release is the final stage of an often lengthy and challenging rehabilitation process.

Back in 2013, a female orangutan named Cici missed her chance at true freedom when her release was postponed. Cici is now 24 years old and a resident of Kaja Island, where she has lived since 26 November 2018.

BKSDA together with TNBBBR Agency and the BOS Foundation have together released ten more orangutans into Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park (TNBBBR).
