Infant orangutans are often captured from the wild, while their mothers are killed to facilitate this illegal trade. Yet orangutans are a keystone species, playing a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the forest ecosystem. Protecting orangutans from illegal trade is not just about saving one individual — it’s about preserving the balance of nature and securing the future of our tropical rainforests.
