THE LONG-NOSED PRIMATE OF KEHJE SEWEN FOREST
An exciting encounter occurred when our Biodiversity–Post Release Monitoring (B-PRM) team conducted a patrol in Kehje Sewen Forest, East Kalimantan.
On August 22, a fire broke out in Batampang village in Central Kalimantan, affecting the Mawas Conservation Program area. Around five hectares was scorched in the remote location, which is difficult to reach. Poor access and a shallow river made it especially challenging for our Mawas team and the Bagawi Hayak firefighting team, who worked tirelessly together to extinguish the fire.
