Click here to meet some of the Forest School students currently being cared for in our rehabilitation centres. You can virtually adopt them to receive regular updates on their rehabilitation progress and support their journey towards true freedom.
By adopting one of the orangutans in our rehabilitation centres, you are supporting their around-the-clock care by the dedicated BOS Foundation team and other supporting activities. Orphaned orangutans learn their first, basic skills from our surrogate human mothers, who play a vital role in preparing them for a life in the wild.
Keep your chosen candidate in your thoughts with a personalised adoption certificate, a full background story, and an exclusive portrait photo included in your adoption welcome pack.
In addition to the welcome pack, you will receive our adoption updates about the orangutan you have adopted, to let you know how she/he is progressing. – With a 1-year adoption: you will receive four adoption updates, one per quarter, which includes one exclusive video update. – With a 6-month adoption: you will receive two adoption updates. Updates are usually sent out in March, June, September, and December.
Your adoption pack, as well as all updates, will be sent to the email address indicated in your online order. However, if you would like to change your email address, you can change it through your BOS Foundation member account or, if you don't have an account, you can still contact us at support@orangutan.or.id to let us know which email address you would like to receive the updates.
Your welcome pack will be sent within 5 working days from the date we receive your order by email.
Adoption packs can take up to 5 working days to send out. If you don’t receive an email in that time, please email our fundraising feam at support@orangutan.or.id. But be sure to check your spam/junk folder first, just in case it has gone there instead of your inbox.
