ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CHANGE OF NYARU MENTENG PROGRAM MANAGER

Dear friends, colleagues, and partners in orangutan conservation

Hereby, we announce the change in position of Program Manager at the BOS Foundation Program at Nyaru Menteng. Starting Monday, December 9, 2013, Anton Nurcahyo formally resigned from his post to commence his doctoral study in Australia.

Anton has led Nyaru Menteng as Program Manager since April 29, 2010. Under Anton’s direction and leadership, the Nyaru Menteng team have achieved significant success in many activities but especially the success in our orangutan reintroduction activities from Nyaru Menteng to the Bukit Batikap Conservation Forest.

Deni Kurniawan, previously the Assistant Manager of the Reintroduction Program at Nyaru Menteng, has agreed to accept the position as Program Manager of Nyaru Menteng, effective as of December 9, 2013, closely supported by May Sumarnae as the Assistant Manager of Animal Welfare. Henceforth, Deni and May will develop their experience and understanding which they have acquired during their time in Nyaru Menteng to run this complex program.

Thus, let’s give our wholehearted appreciation towards Anton for the tenacity, loyalty, and commitment he has given, and wish him the best of luck in his exciting academic endeavour. Congratulations to Deni on his new position as Program Manager of Nyaru Menteng, and May for her new position as Assistant Manager of Animal Welfare, we shall support them in carrying out their duties in managing the BOS Foundation program at Nyaru Menteng.
