BOS FOUNDATION RECEIVES SUPPORT FUND FROM CITIBANK AND FSI

On Wednesday, March 26, 2013, at a ceremony held in Jakarta, The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation officially received Peka Fund from Citibank and First State Investment (FSI).

During the ceremony, Jamartin Sihite, the CEO of the BOS Foundation had also received a chance to give a short presentation about the work we are doing on orangutan conservation and preservation.

The  Rp. 400,000,000 fund was raised as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program from their investment revenue.

Despite the many candidates to receive the fund, The BOS Foundation was chosen among others since Peka Fund focuses on action-based organisations instead of those of campaign-based. The BOS Foundation is credited as an organisation highly dedicated in the field and has created positive direct impacts in orangutan conservation in Indonesia.

As mentioned by Jamartin on his statement, we are in great need of support to continue our work to protect the orangutan from extinction. FSI and Citibank with their donation can definitely help us in running the orangutan conservation area, and in managing two orangutan rehabilitation centers in Kalimantan which currently taking care of more than 800 orangutans who are orphaned and have lost their habitat.

We would like to thank Citibank, FSI, and their investors  for the trust they have given in the BOS Foundation and our work.
