With the most innocent face, Jenny loved stealing papaya from her friends. Whenever a caregiver caught her, she would quickly stuff the whole piece into her mouth to hide the evidence, then look up as if nothing had happened.
BACKGROUND STORY
In early 2025, Jenny was rescued alone from an oil palm plantation and brought to Samboja Lestari. Though initially frightened by her unfamiliar surroundings, her confidence grew as she spent time with other young orangutans. Within just a month, Jenny was making impressive progress in Forest School; under the loving guidance of her surrogate mothers, she had quickly mastered climbing—a vital skill for her future life in the wild.
