SELFIE GROWING BOLD IN NURSERY GROUP
Since May 29, 2025, Selfie, a young female orangutan, has officially joined the small group at the Forest School of the Nyaru Menteng Rehabilitation Centre.
We are working hard to protect the Bornean orangutan and its habitat for future generations. Here are some of the ways we've helped develop a world where orangutans and nature thrive.

Since May 29, 2025, Selfie, a young female orangutan, has officially joined the small group at the Forest School of the Nyaru Menteng Rehabilitation Centre.

It has now been seven months since Jenny arrived at the Samboja Lestari Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.

In the large-group Forest School, seven young orangutans actively play and learn together under the watchful care of our experienced surrogate mothers.

At the end of 2024, Baimah and Feruza finally advanced to Forest School Level 1. Their journey to this new stage began with an adaptation process full of challenges.

This move marks an important step in ensuring that orangutans undergoing rehabilitation can learn and develop more effectively in a supportive environment.
