After a 6-day expedition to locate previously-released orangutans, we finally managed to find one which we had not detected for quite some time: we found Juminten not far from Camp Lesik.

While the BOS Foundation actively searches for new release areas and points within Kehje Sewen forest, the PRM (Post Release Monitoring) team remains consistent in the monitoring and tracking of previously-released orangutans.

Remember our story about Upi staring at something perching up high in a Meranti tree near Camp Lesik? At the time we had assumed that she was only looking around the camp area. It turns out that she was on to something much more interesting!
It was such a joy to see 5 special orangutans; Mona, Berlian, Hamzah, Leke and Upi, during our patrol last week.
