Our Post-Release Monitoring (PRM) team in the Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park, Central Kalimantan was recently conducting a routine patrol, when a strong signal was detected from Janu, a 9-year-old male released in February 2017.
As I stand in the jungle observing the orangutan residents of Batikap Conservation Forest, I find myself comparing them to human children.
Following last weeks rescues of two baby orangutans by BOS Foundation Nyaru Menteng and the Central Kalimantan BKSDA, we are happy to report that one week on, both babies are doing so much better.
