Post-release monitoring is running smoothly at Bukit Batikap, with the five new orangutans released at the end of February observed every day during the week following their arrival.
Our schedule to collect phenology data in the Lembu River area was hampered by bad weather and repeatedly flooded rivers.
At sun rise, we depart daily on our regular patrols to track our reintroduced orangutans and see how they are getting on.
Even though our program mainly focuses on orangutan conservation, the BOS Foundation also supports other victims of deforestation, the sun bears.
