Before mastering the forest treetops, Rumba arrived at Nyaru Menteng as a deeply dependent and confused one-year-old. Over time, friendship and confidence transformed her into an adventurous climber who now moves gracefully through the forest canopy.
BACKGROUND STORY
Before arriving at the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Rumba was kept as a pet for a month before being voluntarily surrendered to the BOS Foundation. Years later, she now explores the forest alongside her friends Iqo and Segi, whose energetic nature has inspired her to swing confidently and skillfully high up in the canopy, truly becoming the Voyager Rumba.
